Mountain trekking offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature, yet hikers still rely on smartphones and maps to check routes, weather conditions, and terrain information. Repeatedly looking down at a screen interrupts immersion and increases the risk of accidents, especially in rapidly changing mountain environments.

Trail Lens is an AR wearable experience designed to keep essential information within the user’s field of view. Instead of switching attention between the trail and a device, hikers receive real-time route guidance, weather awareness, hazard alerts, body condition monitoring, and nature exploration content through an intuitive AR interface.

The service is structured around the complete trekking journey—from planning and preparation to navigation and activity recording—providing the right information at the right moment. During the hike, the system guides users through intersections, recommends breaks based on physical condition, and delivers early warnings for potential risks. It also encourages exploration by presenting surrounding plants and terrain information without interrupting movement.

By combining navigation, safety, and environmental discovery into a single wearable experience, Trail Lens reduces cognitive load and keeps both hands free for outdoor activities. Rather than functioning as a conventional navigation device, it creates a seamless interaction between people and nature, allowing users to focus on the trail while staying informed and protected.

Trail Lens redefines trekking as an experience that is not only safer and more efficient but also more immersive, intuitive, and connected to the natural environment.
