Bobby, the reading buddy, is a smart bookmark that assists kids on their reading journey and empowers them to become independent readers. In today's fast-paced world, children’s reading development poses a challenge. Current solutions rely on busy parents, costly tutors or digital applications that contribute to excessive screen time. Furthermore, constant dependency can hinder a child’s progress and motivation. Recognizing these challenges, Bobby, emerges as an innovative solution. Once attached and activated, Bobby scans the pages to capture data. As the child starts reading, Bobby uses Projection Mapping, to project a contrasting line underlining each word. This visual aid is particularly beneficial for children who often lose their place while reading. Bobby listens as the child is reading and uses ML and AI to assist them with tricky words. By responding to integrated hand gestures and voice commands it provides instant feedback by explaining word meanings and helping in connecting word combinations and phonics using distinct mouth animations. Bobby provides detailed performance statistics for parents to track progress and creates tailored learning exercises to tackle specific areas. It uses tone and facial expression analysis to gauge interest levels and accordingly suggest new titles, fostering a lifelong love for reading.
