VEA – Home Influenza Management System Influenza (flu) impacts millions of people worldwide every year and costs billions of dollars to healthcare system. According to latest medical data, worldwide 291,000 to 646,000 people die from flu every year. Flu in US alone impacts 5-20% of population every season and creates $87B economic burden. VEA is a compact, convenient, and connected product that can be used at home, to detect flu accurately and early, and the results can be shared with doctors for getting timely care. It saves lives and reduces healthcare cost. It uses latest medical research and technology in an ergonomic design to contain the epidemic of flu in a cost-effective way. VEA consists of a breathalyzer to detect flu virus and bacteria, a blood tester to detect patient’s immunity level, a charger+far-UV light sterilizer to sterilize breathalyzer, and a Bluetooth interface to share and review results with a smartphone.
