Blind people face many difficulties with their reading activities. Visual content is hard to understand, Braille books take up much more space than the original books, and converting all books to audio or Braille is both costly and time-intensive. Using a regular library or bookstore without audio or Braille books is almost impossible for the blind. Feelbook is a reading device specifically designed to address these challenges for visually impaired individuals. It utilizes an AI camera to read books aloud, and the images included in the books are displayed on a tactile screen. Users can easily operate the device using a multi-dial and tactile buttons. Feelbook is designed for one-handed operation, making it convenient for identifying books on a shelf or reading while placed on a desk. Its portable size allows for use anywhere.
