TUTORO is an in-home tutor robot that can help kids aged 4-7 form good habits and learn while reducing parental burden. With expanding work from home and increasing access to media, kids between the ages of four and seven tend to spend an average of more than three hours a day in their parents' blind spots, far exceeding the WHO recommendation of one hour a day, indicating that excessive media exposure is occurring in environments where constant parental monitoring is difficult. However, the educational devices currently in children's hands do not provide adequate education because they deliver content in a one-way direction and are not separated from media, and the limitations of digital interaction make them lack in terms of habit formation and emotional engagement beyond learning. TUTORO is designed to overcome the limitations of these existing educational devices, with a rotating head that provides a contextualised interface and interactive hands that help children develop good habits and actively learn.
