FreshBox is an innovative smart delivery system focused on sustainability and convenience in grocery delivery. At its core, FreshBox uses an eco-friendly container system crafted from mycelium, a sustainable, biodegradable material that replaces single-use packaging and minimizes waste. Each container’s natural structure provides durability while maintaining a moisture-resistant barrier that preserves freshness. Here’s how it works: customers order through the FreshBox app, and market staff prepare groceries in sustainable FreshBox containers. These containers are then delivered to a compact mini-fridge installed by the front door, keeping groceries at the ideal temperature even when immediate retrieval isn’t possible. After groceries are removed, the empty containers are returned to the mini-fridge for collection during the next delivery. This process—from ordering to retrieval—is managed through the FreshBox app, offering a seamless, waste-free experience that enables eco-conscious consumers to reduce packaging waste and enjoy high-quality food preservation.
