The combined group home project in South Korea addresses homelessness and pet abandonment with an innovative approach. Located centrally, it houses homeless individuals alongside a dog shelter, where residents care for dogs through activities like feeding and grooming, fostering companionship and boosting self-esteem. Public spaces like a dog-friendly café promote community interaction and educate about homelessness and pet welfare. The facility includes a dog adoption center for potential adopters and offers residents classrooms, meeting rooms, and counseling for personal development. An outdoor courtyard allows dogs to play and socialize, complemented by on-site amenities like dog showers and urgent care rooms. This holistic initiative aims to reshape perceptions of homelessness and pet ownership, promoting social inclusion and animal welfare in South Korea. By combining housing, animal care, and community engagement, it advocates for a compassionate and integrated approach to societal challenges.
