I am currently raising a one-year-old dog named Jerry, whom I adopted. Before coming to me, Jerry was abused by his previous owner for not being house-trained and was surrendered to a veterinary clinic where a friend of mine works. The number of dogs being abandoned due to behavioral or health issues is rapidly increasing. The main issue is that pet owners often miss early signs of illness or behavioral problems, leading to worsening conditions, rising treatment costs, and ultimately frustration, which results in abandonment.To address this issue, I designed a product that combines a leash handle with an action camera. This product allows pet owners to monitor their dog's key activities and, when paired with a charging dock with speaker functionality, can also be used as a home camera.The device records 24/7 and compiles suspicious behavior into data, which can be accessed through an app. This data can also be shared with veterinarians or trainers to help avoid misdiagnoses and resolve issues effectively. Additionally, the app provides features that help prevent accidents during walks and easily match dogs with compatible playmates. By using this product, pet owners can ensure better care for their dogs and help reduce abandonment.
