The re-designed Dell OS Recovery Tool is a free software application, or tool, developed for the purposes of creating an independent, bootable recovery USB drive which can then be used to re-install various versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems due to a system crash, hard drive replacement, etc. The new tool and new GUI design, guides the user through the steps in a simple “wizard” (setup assistant) manner each step of the way by leading the user through a series of clearly defined, and graphically illustrated, defined actions. The GUI was design features a clear navigation map graphic at the top of the screen to show users where they are in the process and then the successful completion of a step.
