Each rattan weaved sleeve is designed to provide a special storage space. Within the layers of rattan, the pocket space enables it to embody small portions - usually 2 to 3 days - of prescription. By designing a space outside of the concealed cupboard compartments where pills are usually stored, it can function as a reminder of when to take your pills by keeping them within visual range. The sleeve can not only be used for home mugs or pitchers but also for outdoor activity purposes enabling bringing your pills with you wherever you go. The rattan component gives the designed product a rustic, eco-friendly, durable, and warm image. The main purpose of the product is to give a bit of warmth to a relatively unwilling but mandatory experience of taking pills. According to numerous research, polypharmacy leads to depression. It is a discrepancy that the act of consuming pills makes you psychologically unhealthier. Thus, if we can’t reduce the number of pills we consume, why not make it a more pleasant experience to easily cope with? The main goal of this project is to make medication a daily go-to item rather than a routine that needs to be inconspicuous.
