Thrillize is a virtual snowboarding device designed for future homes. Using Virtual Reality (VR) technology, it creates a virtual environment that immerses users in the experience of snowboarding on a snow-covered mountain. The device consists of a motion board and haptic shoes equipped with specialized hardware that detects movements such as tilt, rotation, and speed within the virtual environment. This technology allows users to simulate balancing as they would on an actual snowboard, and the haptic shoes reproduce special vibration patterns to recreate the texture of the snow. To visualize the virtual snowboarding environment, users need additional equipment such as VR glasses or a large screen. Thrillize enables users to access virtual snowboarding sessions anytime, offering a convenient way to practice and maintain an active lifestyle even during the off-season. Instead of replacing real snowboarding, Thrillize serves as a means to practice and satisfy the anticipation during the off-season. It also introduces a new way to stay active at home.
