High in the mountains of Colorado, MTN DEW hit the slopes for Dew Tour Copper Mtn, a celebration bringing together the world’s best in snow. As the premiere action-sports event spanning more than two decades, Dew Tour showcases some of the best athletes across skateboarding, skiing and snowboarding. On February 29 and 30, 2023, we ascended Copper Mountain with a full 360° campaign to celebrate snow sports and the creativity that comes with them. Dew Tour has always been synonymous with best-in-class athletes and psyched-up spectators. To showcase Colorado through bold creative, we dug deep into the locale. Our research-led design and illustrations took inspiration from ’80s skiing and punk posters, with a vibrant color palette and new characters personifying plant life, local animals and the Dew Squatch, our abominable creature created to represent Mtn Dew’s place in the snowscape. The wordmark gives ties to the Rocky Mountains that run through Colorado through its incorporation of ice and angular typography.
