"How many squares in London?" "127 squares". This art book project allows me to investigate the principles of form(square) and to explore their functions in visual communication. Concentrating on social, environmental, historical and cultural context in London and finding connection between geometrical square and environmental, historical square. 127 squares in London are organised by name, location, postcode, date and public access. The intention is to provide me with an opportunity to re-assess my own approaches to practice in a process that might be described as de-learning and re-learning. This art book project, emphasis is placed on exploring critical research methods to help me to develop my approach to both practical and theoretical aspects of my work. In the investigation of visual language I could have the opportunity to re-evaluate fundamental design principles and to consider their relationship to content and meaning.
