Ignorance or Neglect" is a provocative project that explains the impact of meat consumption on climate change. Presented as a poster and a leaflet, all content is grounded in real data. The goal of this personal project is to raise awareness about the climate crisis and to encourage reflection on how our food choices impact the planet. If greenhouse gas emissions remain at current levels, it is expected that global temperatures will exceed a 1.5°C increase between 2021 and 2040. The poster and leaflet detail what the climate crisis is, why it’s so serious, how it connects to meat consumption, the environmental impact of meat production, and actions we can take right now. The A2 poster, printed with spot colors, warns that exceeding a 1.5°C rise in average global temperature will push us past a critical threshold. The 6-panel, accordion-style leaflet includes punched holes and encourages readers to engage directly by threading string through the holes, forming a climate data graph. This hands-on element allows readers to engage actively with the information and reflects the project’s emphasis on the urgency of climate action.
