As a student assistant on a government-funded research project, I investigated the effects of auricular acupressure on stress and sleep in the elderly. The process involved attaching small metal beads to participants' outer ears to apply continuous pressure, resulting in noticeable improvements in their stress levels and sleep quality. This experience sparked my interest in exploring alternative methods to traditional medicine to enhance the quality of life for seniors. My portfolio showcases a blend of product and graphic design, featuring “Restie” (a combination of "rest" and "bestie"), a physical product paired with an innovative app. The graphic design elements focus on packaging, brochures, posters, and outdoor materials that effectively communicate my design solution. Ultimately, my story revolves around introducing a simple solution tailored to improve sleep for the elderly while sharing its value through thoughtful design.
