Since the concept of ‘cities’ emerged, the boundary between cities and nature has become increasingly blurred. All buildings born from urbanization are produced through chemical processes, distancing them from natural formation. Cities are physically expanding, and the habitats of plants and animals are shrinking. There may be debate over whether human activity should be considered a part of nature, but cities and nature are often viewed as opposites, almost like antonyms. This notion stems from the current state of cities, built at the cost of significant damage to nature. In fact, the main causes of environmental degradation include urbanization, industrialization, population growth, and climate change, with urbanization itself being a major culprit. Many wildlife conservation organizations are working to preserve these habitats. However, beyond such efforts, the land belongs to all, and finding the right balance in living spaces will require spatial solutions from designers. I aim to expand animal habitats through integration, rather than encroachment. I designed spaces that go beyond just protecting animals, fostering coexistence, and granting them independence. This project is not a single, isolated initiative; it is a global concept that I hope will be applied universally across all countries.
