MedDash is an urban first-response transportation designed to alleviate the delays in emergency medical services (EMS) caused by heavy traffic in large cities like New York City. Mounted on a standard e-scooter, MedDash utilizes bike lanes, allowing emergency medical technicians (EMTs) to reach the scene faster than traditional ambulances stuck in traffic. MedDash is equipped with a redesigned medical kit optimized for quick access to supplies, ensuring EMTs can provide immediate and effective first aid. The vehicle features sirens, flashing lights, and a high-mounted indicator light to enhance visibility and ensure a swift response. The design also includes an adjustable seat for the rider, a removable battery for consistent power, and waterproof and durable materials for outdoor use. MedDash addresses the critical need for timely EMS in congested urban environments by offering a reliable and efficient solution. This design serves as a blueprint for integrating medical services with urban mobility solutions, demonstrating a versatile approach to tackling public health challenges in metropolitan areas.
