Da Vinci 5 aims to help hospitals address operational efficiency and staffing challenges while also extending da Vinci surgery beyond traditional OR settings and schedules. Da Vinci 5 connects all components needed for surgery and allows surgeons to manage components from the console’s head-in menu, reducing reliance on care team expertise.1 Streamlined workflows, simplified setup, enhanced guided tool change, task automation, and a universal UI may be among the factors contributing to reduced procedure times2 with the potential to increase throughput. The innovations that streamline workflows and increase surgeon autonomy may also make it easier for care teams to gain the skills needed to support da Vinci surgery. Da Vinci 5’s ability to process procedure data and share it with My Intuitive allows you to gain objective insights into personal and program performance. The Case Insights app uses a unique combination of system and kinematic data, and AI video analysis to extract unprecedented objective insights from surgery and identify opportunities for surgeons to improve patient care. 1.
