An Sudden Unintended Accleration incident in South Korea this year resulted in 16 casualties, increasing public attention on these accidents. Global rise of SUA accidents were the reason of our preventive product design proposal. SUA happens when drivers experience cognitive overload, leading to confusion between the accelerator and brake pedals which leads to causing unintended acceleration. With an dashboard screen that displays which pedal is being pressed, the driver is visually alerted to unintended acceleration, helping them to recognize any misapplication of the accelerator. In these urgent moments, an emergency brake handle can be used which is located on the ceiling grip to stop the car immediately.
