The Neo-Ray Covera is a linear suspended pendant providing direct and indirect light through the use of a curved WaveStream™ panel coupled to a high-performance LED light engine. We eliminated the traditional power cord, allowing the luminaire to, seemingly, float in space. Power is supplied via conductive aircraft cable to eliminate the need for an unsightly power cord. The design was driven by the idea of a floating arc of light that would almost disappear when not in use. Most of the aesthetic choices were driven by functional requirements. The acrylic light guide is an arc to provide rigidity over the length of the fixture. The light engine/endcap has the optimal surface area for heatsinking the maximum wattage of the fixture while maintaining the lowest possible profile and a smooth finished look. The Covera provides an excellent lighting solution while being as unobtrusive as possible. Every effort was made to minimize the amount of unlit surface area on the fixture.
