According to OECD statistics, healthcare professional in Korea are responsible for 16 to 43 patients each, which impacts the quality of healthcare provided. Rehabilitation therapy, in particular, requires one-on-one training between healthcare professional and patients, presenting a significant challenge. To address this, we developed a walking aid that uses AI to provide high-quality rehabilitation training and enable efficient staff deployment. The key features of this device are "walking assistance" and "AI-powered interaction." Legit allows patients to train independently without unnecessary staffing, using an LED beam to guide the required stride length and gait. The device provides real-time feedback via a display during training and is optimized for individual assessment through patches equipped with electromyography (EMG) sensors. These sensors track the user's stride, muscle activation, and stride accuracy. AI technology is integrated into the device to offer personalized training recommendations and analyze progress, providing effective feedback to both healthcare professionals and patients. The most crucial factor in rehabilitation training is the patient's motivation. The device offers motivational advice during training and AI-generated reports afterward to encourage patients to maintain an active and positive attitude. Legit represents a new approach to assisted walking therapy by effectively leveraging AI to support detailed and effective rehabilitation training.
