Polli bee is an artificial pollination drone designed to address the ecological threat caused by the decline in bee populations. The decrease in bees leads to a reduction in biodiversity and a crisis in food supply. Existing drones had issues with their large size and being applicable to only specific flowers. To solve this, Poli bee is designed to be small and wingless, allowing it to pollinate various flowers without damaging them. Inspired by the pollination methods of honeybees and bumblebees, Poli bee features two types of pollinators. ā€˜Oā€™ shaped parts has a round, wide form that collects pollen on its body like a honeybee, while ā€˜Lā€™ shaped parts is designed to collect pollen on its chest like a bumblebee. The drone has an organic shape inspired by the bee gently through an air fan motor located at the bottom, ensuring that the petals are not damaged. Poli bee aids in promoting plant reproduction, maintaining biodiversity in ecosystems, and alleviating the crisis in food production. In areas where natural bee populations have declined, it can play a crucial role in ecosystem restoration.
