Through our collaboration with the NBA, our team in China transformed a local basketball court in Guizhou into an immersive Gatorade experience. Recognizing the power of the world’s third most popular sport to unite and inspire, we breathed new life into the space to create a branded and culturally relevant slam dunk powered by the community. This wasn't about just refurbishing concrete and hoops - we had a shared vision to invest in a recreational space that would ignite dreams, build meaningful connections among basketball fans, and foster a sense of local pride. Gatorade is no stranger to revamping basketball courts across China, and this project marked a significant opportunity for the brand to leave a lasting impact. Imagining the basketball court as a canvas, we combined the Gatorade visual identity system with bespoke styles and patterns inspired by the craftsmanship and vibrant local culture of the Bouyei people. We also installed solar-powered lights so the court is illuminated and ready for play, day or night.
