In 2018, the Taitung County Government recognized the potential of Taitung's natural beauty and decided to tap into it with the Starry Taitung series of events. This initiative aims to connect local natural resources and gradually develop the local starry sky tourism industry chain. By doing so, the government hopes to create a unique "slow economy" through organic tourism, which will showcase the beauty of Taitung's natural environment and conserve it for future generations.
