The packaging for Herman Miller LEAF Light serves multiple purposes: it is a marketing vehicle, a point-of-sale display, a shipping box and it continues the identity of the LEAF lamp. Additionally, the packaging is environmentally conscious. The packaging is made of cardboard and the interior packaging materials are Ethafoam, for a safe arrival without adding unnecessary weight or volume. It breaks down to only minimal elements, which are easily reused or recyclable. It immediately communicates the contents inside through the vivid graphics and high satin finish. The colored handle on top tells the color of the lamp inside. When turned to the right, the full form of the LEAF lamp is displayed. From the quarter view, the image mimics the fully extended angle of the light. The wrap around photo of LEAF allows the different sides of different boxes to fit together, completing the image.
