The TalkChart Pop-Out is a communication device for patients in hospitals who cannot speak as a result of stroke, aphasia, tubes, or other challenges. By pointing to the graphic symbols, letters of the alphabet, pain scale, or body diagram, these patients can easily make their needs known to staff and family. Simple, practical, and durable, the TalkChart Pop-Out facilitates recovery by making communication possible at an isolating and frustrating point in the process. The original laminated TalkChart is currently being used in thousands of hospital throughout the country. But nurses and healthcare workers asked for a more portable version that was still large and firm enough to use repeatedly with patients. The TalkChart Pop-Out solves those problems by providing a pointing chart that collapses into a small size and can be carried in a pocket, yet instantly pops open for use in communicating with patients.
