More than a simple rebus, the Paperclip Lamp is a desk task light that combines an eco-friendly LED lighting scheme with the recycled form factor of a desktop perennial: the paperclip. Exploiting the bent wire form, this simple design elevates a potential one-liner into a statement that exudes iconic/understated self confidence. The form is intriguing and genial, particularly beautiful in its simplicity. Making ingenious use of an extra ligature, when not in use the lamp lies flat across the desktop; unabashedly reinforcing the association with its namesake. In use, the curvature design offers dramatic extendibility while maintaining stability.
