The Catapult is for a person capable of using one's legs to steer the vehicle. Our intention on this model was not necessarily to make a handicapped vehicle but to prove that the lever mechanism could be a viable method of propelling oneself forward with very little effort. I have also designed a steering mechanism that can be installed so that the handles can rotate back and forth and steer the vehicle using the person's hands and arms rather than the feet. However, this 'non-handicapped' Catapult is not only fun to ride but can also be a great upper body workout.
