Built to take on the ramps and rails of a skate park, the Defiance wheelchair was designed to allow handicapped athletes the opportunity to partake in the unique extreme sport of “Hardcore Sitting,” also known as wheelchair skating. Each components of the chair was designed independently employing unique materials and technology to satisfy the extreme demands of the sport. From a shock absorbing wheel design, to a high strength frame extrusion, even a momentum building suspension setup. The benefits of their design extend outside the skate park into the users everyday lives. Increasing comfort, control, and durability, while protecting against many medical complications, these components work together to create a wheelchair for the most extreme athletes, and the greatest of fans.
