Modern hotel guests want to socialize and engage with others. However, many lobbies and restaurants are too outdated to meet these needs, and guests spend their time and money elsewhere. The Hub is a combination coffeehouse, mini-mart, pub, and video arcade. The Hub’s design creates a cohesive space that lets guests flow between areas. Designed and built within a year, the successful pilot led to Holiday Inn’s largest rollout ever, with over 3,000 global Hub locations by 2013.
