The Almost Home Shelter is a 1-2 year semi-permanent communal disaster shelter. The design focuses on how the shelter could better suit the needs of users in subsistence rather than those of developed nations. It features a simple, modular design that allows users to customize to their preference. When placed next to each other these shelters mimic the existing community layout in rural villages and promote a return to normalcy.
