High Performance Masonry System (HMPS) Submitted by CASE (Center for Architecture Science and Ecology) and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP The High Performance Masonry System (HMPS) is a form of Climate Camouflage that harnesses bioclimatic energy flows through a modular ceramic curtain wall systems in order to seek a more effective thermal balance through the conspiracy of multiscalar color, texture, and morphology that play to tune the facade towards ever changing localized environmental conditions, effectively creating the built ecology. Strategized on principles from bioanalytics, energy flows through the building façade are harnessed to offload excess thermal loads and passively cool internal load dominated structures.
