< Team Members: Ji-young Choi / Kyung Hee University , Nam-sun Do / Kyung Hee University > We all remember 9/11. Although the attack was a disaster which can be hardly expected, almost every tragic accident occurs when no one is aware of it. Since a disaster which threatens a great number of lives like 9/11 can happen any time, we should stay prepared all the time. When endangered in a building because of a fire or an earthquake, people try to escape using an automatic descending life line. However, it is almost impossible that many people could escape with this equipment in an emergency not only because automatic descending life lines are installed in specific locations of the building but also the number is too short to save everyone in the building. Furthermore, there could be additional accidents if a lot of people rush toward one location at the same time. Even if one could use this equipment, it is not easy for him to descend safely by himself. Thus, a new rescue equipment is needed which is more accessible, utilizable and even safer. Tinkerball, an innovative rescue equipment which complement the limitations of the automatic descending life line, will guarantee your safe escape. While the automatic descending life line is installed and fixed in one spot, Tinkerball is easily movable because it is designed as all-in-one structure and can be fixed on everywhere solid. Tinkerball will be a ray of hope in a desperate, life-or-death situation.
