Parents and kids alike desire a smooth transition from high chair to booster seat to big chair, and this was our goal in designing a new booster seat. Our extensive user testing showed some kids have trouble keeping their balance in other booster seats and are prone to falling backward. The booster needed to be portable to accommodate families’ on-the-go lifestyles. It also needed to fit in with any household environment, so we chose to design it with a mid-century modern aesthetic that compliments most households. The OXO Tot Youth Booster Seat positions children three years and up at the perfect height for the family table with the help of a comfortable 3” cushioned seat. The highlighted design features are: * The backrest keeps tots supported and gives them the option of sitting towards the chair’s front edge— their natural inclination. Meals are now within reach and little legs can dangle comfortably over the cushion’s rounded front edge. * With a mid-century modern aesthetic, it appeals to parents’ tastes and provided kids real comfort and ease. It fits seamlessly into any kitchen or dining room environment. • Whether the family is headed to Grandma’s or a local restaurant, the Booster folds into itself, creating a compact plastic container. • We made it easy to carry by integrating a handle. • It even stands on its side for easy storage and is scaled perfectly for a diaper bag or large purse. • The Booster’s backrest supports toddlers in any position, on any type of dining chair. Its rounded base fits the contour of most chairs and the clean lines and simple look fits most decors. • Secure grips on the bottom of the Booster seat keep the child safe and the seat in place. • The completely removable, crevice-free, stain resistant, soft-skin urethane cushion was designed to facilitate cleaning. BPA, Phthalate and PVC free—keeping everyone, especially the children, safe and healthy.
