It plugs into an Internet connection and creates a wireless home network. It is ideal for home and business users needing an affordable, stable, high-speed wireless network. It enables multi-media entertainment and productivity content to become truly mobile within a home. This unique router combines the functions of a high speed ADSL modem, NAT router and a wireless access point. It is designed to provide end-users with a one-stop solution to acquiring high-speed Internet access over a wired/wireless network. With this product, users can now enjoy more kinds of heavy bandwidth consuming applications like wireless HD video streaming. Our challenge was to create a unique design that stood out in the crowded market. This challenge consisted of the following elements: - Design a product for high volume shipping and low cost per unit price. - Design a product that required little energy to assemble. - Ventilate heat out of unit. - Create one design that could be offered in many different models with different specs and colors. - Create design that would compete in Chinese point-of-sale environments, which are typically densely packed with product. Routers are usually boring boxy products. This one is perhaps the most exciting router on the market for four reasons: 1. It has a radically cool appearance, making a router the center stage of a home network. The ventilation detail is simply exquisite, and so new. The smooth body forms combined with rich dark blue are beautiful. 2. The range (300 meters) and speed (1000 Mbps) are unparalleled and the design expresses this high level performance. 3. It costs only US$13.00, which allows this high performance, high design product to be accessible to millions of people.
