The extended plains of the box provided us with the opportunity to inset the connector panel and build an invisible infrared receiver in the gaps, maintaining the clean look of the device. “On the back of the box you get mostly the same ports, and again here things have that Apple-like simplicity which we love.” Artefact’s goal was to design a set top box that blends into the living room, yet has the detailing to stand out. In the sea of utilitarian grey workhorses, the simplicity and clean lines of the Fetch TV box become an iconic symbol of the experience, even if the TV is turned off.
