Our goal was to develop a portable projector that was compact, easy to use and had a unique form factor that communicated portability. The Kickstand Projector consists of a small projector housing that is contained within an aluminum frame. When closed, all controls and connections are contained within the frame. When opened to the use position the controls are exposed and the remote control fob acts as the lens cover. The projection angle can be easily set from horizontal to vertical. An integrated support leg un-folds from the aluminum frame to form the "Kickstand" feature. The projector utilizes an LED DLP light engine that delivers a WXGA 1280 x 800 wide screen image. The Kickstand can project a 9-inch image at 1 foot up to a 90-inch image at 10 feet.
