There are many problems with public trash cans in Korea and also global. First,it's hard to clean up. It is hard to empty it immediately when the garbage is full. Secondly, it doesn't look good. Since it is not immediately emptied, people keep throwing away garbage around full garbage cans. Third, smell. Sometimes people throw away household waste or food waste. After the trash can was out of service, I thought I should change it to a different image. Therefore, I found things that people do not throw away trash in public facilities. Among them, the most effective was the pot. In fact, in Korea, When put a flowerpot in a place where garbage is illegally dumped, people didn't throw away trash at there. So I designed the trash can to automatically close when it's full, and to be a flowerpot. Also, it closes and naturally stops the smell. When closed, it automatically sends a signal to the cleaner. The entrance is narrow, preventing the inflow of large household waste. Also, the removable container was placed inside the trash bin so that it could be emptied easily.
