Nuro’s Autonomous Goods Delivery Vehicle is street legal and designated as a Low Speed Vehicle. It only operates unmanned, and is therefore designed to keep what’s outside of it, safer than what’s on the inside. The vehicle's interior compartments accommodate a wide range of items. Customers can place orders remotely and receive goods quickly and affordably to homes, workplaces, or designated pin. The ease of a customer accepting a delivery from Nuro’s vehicle compartments is designed to be easier and faster than lifting bags from a passenger car’s trunk. A user experience screen on the vehicle’s side provides a customer an intelligent touchpoint where orders and identities can be confirmed. The vehicle’s doors open handsfree, and offer users access to temperature-controlled interior compartments. Interior lighting, cameras, and security features provide users a seamless and delightful experience. Nuro’s vehicles travels among traditional passenger cars on the road so safety, reliability, and security were hard requirements. Nuro will measure our product’s success by how many people’s lives are substantially improved (and saved) by our service.
