The number of patients who suffer from sudden cardiac arrest increases year after year, but fewer than 1 out 10 of those patients undergoes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). And inaccurate CPR rather serves to put a patient into jeopardy. So, we suggest Heart Vest, a CPR auxiliary device which ensures that everyone can perform CPR easily and accurately. If a person undergoes immediate actions within 6 minutes from a heart arrest, the chance of survival increases up to three-fold. When the country’s CPR training capacity registers 2.95% of the population, only 3% of those who witness sudden heart arrest perform CPR. Therefore, it is crucial that people learn CPR in advance and mount appropriate response when emergency occurs. When we instead of emergency rescuers or medical staff perform it on our own, CPR can save lives. Therefore, we suggest Heart Vest, a CPR auxiliary device that allows anyone to perform CPR appropriately even without going through special training. We include lighting into the vest to let the CPR performer intuitively figure out how to do CPR. When a user performs CPR, the device detects the crucial beats and intensity with its sensors and guides their appropriate calibration with lighting.
