D2™ inspired Milliken’s new Convertible Flooring Category. Convertible Flooring extends beyond the entry and walk-off zones to deliver protective flooring solutions throughout any building interior. Designed to offer both the flexibility of conventional mats along with the lock-down stability and finished appearance of formal “entrance systems”. With a modular and fully customizable design, companies now have the ability to enhance their space in new and beautiful ways. This innovative, two-part design solved multiple challenges – in both usability and desirability. Usability benefits include: an anchored installation for stability / safety, a 50% weight reduction that benefits all stakeholders, a thin borderless profile, simplified manufacturing, and do-it-yourself installation. Desirability benefits include: aesthetic improvements, design pattern variety, modular design for space variety, and the potential to unlock business in new interior spaces including residential. This completely rethought product improved the overall user experience of the rental mat and created renewed demand for convertible flooring in the global marketplace.
