VERO is a collection of four glasses designed for serving coffee beverages. Each glass is designed to be the ideal vessel for its intended beverage, the way wine glasses highlight the characteristics of different wines. The glasses come in a variety of colors, making them a timely departure from traditional white ceramic cafeware. They are designed to withstand the rigors of daily use in commercial environments, but elegant enough to use at home. Design for the VERO collection was not only driven by aesthetic preferences, but by feedback from baristas and coffee professionals who could speak to the function of each glass. Each glass was designed from the inside out with asymmetrical facets for visual interest, and psychical characteristics that make it beautiful as a standalone piece, or as part of the collection. Prototypes of each glass were tested meticulously for fluid dynamics, heat retention, and balance, to ensure it would meet the needs of the specialty coffee shops where it would be used.
