Korean drinking culture is more focused on unity of community rather than the effects on individuals, (Source: The Social Meaning of Alcohol Consumption in Korea) and this results in various issues such as forced drinking, excessive drinking and physical & psychological damage to individuals. Therefore, education on the negative aspects of drinking, and efforts toward awareness of healthy drinking methods are required. Many temperance apps in the market simply have a recording function to utilize when drinking. “MeReap” app proposed by our team is capable of not only recording individual drinking habits, but also examining the data through visualization, and enabling the user to obtain information on temperance intuitively.
