My Skin Track UV from L'Oreal is the world’s first, and smallest, battery-free UV wearable. It’s designed to measure and track your UV exposure and provides pollution, pollen, and humidity information. The companion app uses the data to offer personalized skincare tips and recommendations. Our critical design challenge was to define how this device would be incorporated on our bodies to accurately measure uv exposure without becoming intrusive or getting lost. The final design includes a sensor and a clip, making it discreet and giving the user maximum flexibility in how they choose to wear the device.
