Alongside Henrybuilt’s built-in systems is a line of freestanding pieces, known as Primary Objects, that can be purchased individually, giving clients the ability to introduce Henrybuilt into any home or project. The new furniture, including Shadow Box, leverages the strengths of the Henrybuilt system yet stands alone as pieces with personalities that contrast. In particular, the Shadow Box combines the best of both worlds championed by Henrybuilt—the intelligence of system thinking with the ease of an impeccably crafted individual furniture piece. Highly functional, the piece is also artful. Shadow Box subtly plays with color and translucency to achieve a classic yet shape-shifting piece that can take on the role of a pantry, armoire, bar, linen cabinet, or entry storage. Relying on a simple set of proportions and using Henrybuilt’s unique interchangeable fitting system, Opencase, to allow for unlimited customization, the flexible unit can morph among functions, depending on its internal configuration.
