The Dell XPS Packaging Experience was created to give the consumer a unified premium experience creating a positive first impression of the product. The new design houses all product components into one rigid box structure creating a curated unboxing experience starting with the overpack. Excess materials such as foam from the overpack, and plastic bags from the accessories were removed to increase the overall recyclability of the packaging. The accessories were moved into the system box organizing the unboxing into one cohesive experience. FSC certified, renewable and recycled materials were also sourced for different components to increase the sustainability of the packaging and meet EPEAT Silver requirements. The upgraded materials, finish and graphics of the packaging were designed to enhance the overall premium experience and reflect the product. The new design improves the consumer experience by simplifying the overall unboxing process, quality of the materials and improving the overall recyclability of the packaging.
