Island Health, like many health authorities across Canada, faces nursing shortages at many hospitals. This causes teams to work overtime, experience burnout and costs the organization dearly. The goal with this campaign is to highlight what Vancouver Island offers to new graduate nurses from across the country. It showcases the amazing weather, outdoor sports and the diverse landscape featuring the mountains and ocean. In tandem with this natural beauty, this eye-catching campaign is different than anything Island Health has ever done. In a time of intense need, this campaign stands out from other health authorities and shows a forward thinking approach to recruiting in healthcare. This entire campaign was designed and facilitated in-house by our talented team of designers, photographers, recruitment marketers and nurses. Yes, even the nurses pictured in these breathtaking scenarios are part of our Island Health family. The Nurse Your Senses campaign allowed us to connect with graduating nurses across Canada with a message that really resonated and allowed them to envision themselves nursing on Vancouver Island. Because of this campaign and the work of our Recruitment Marketing team, we were able to increase our new grad Registered Nurse hiring by 45% this year.
