‘MOU’ is a mobile application that helps the oral exercise of patients with cerebral palsy. Many CP patients have to consistently practice oral exercise through their lifetime to prevent oral paralysis. Doing this at rehabilitation centers is expensive and has low accessibility. At home, it's difficult due to the lack of information about rehabilitation exercises. Also, oral exercise includes repeating simple movements, which is boring and amotivational to do alone. Therefore, by using AR cameras and gamification elements, MOU helps solve these problems cerebral palsy patients have. First, the service recognizes users’ facial features through the AR camera on mobile devices, and provides accurate movement guidance and customized feedback. After learning an exercise movement, users can play a fun game where they control the character with the movement. This was made for actual use by using the Spark AR. Second, a detailed analysis is provided on practiced movements, enabling users to check their accomplishments and development visually. Through MOU, cerebral palsy patients are freed from barriers of time, space, and expenses. Patients can carry out oral exercises in a precise, fun way without help from caregivers, and caregivers can lessen the burden of rehabilitation therapy and its expenses.
