Pli is an exploration of the anatomy of lounge chairs and pushes boundaries to redefine the design language of a seating surface. Pli is a minimal yet playful interpretation of the rhythms of light and shadow inspired by the elements of repetition seen in modern and classical architecture. Challenging the traditional anatomy of a lounge chair, Pli manipulates heavy-duty felt into a pleat-like structure that is stable enough to support a user’s body weight and provides a padded and comfortable backrest. Pli is designed with ease of disassembly in mind for color customization and cleaning.
