Nursing hospitals care for the elderly who have problem to move or the elderly who are ill. But the most dangerous thing is the ‘Bedsores'. To prevent bed sores, should change the posture direction every 2 hours and use assistive devices. However, preventive items are limited to mats and cushions now. Therefore, we designed a bed sores prevention device for elderly patients and their caregivers. This device provides visual, tactile, and auditory information. And make it easy to use not only for non-disabled patients also for patients with disabilities. The name of this product is ‘Areum’, which was inspired by the culture of giving flowers when visiting a hospital to meet patients. And naming it as a word that means ‘hug lots of flowers’ in Korean. Areum is placed on both sides of the bed where the patients is lying and used. In addition, for the prevention of bedsores, the humidity and temperature in the space are measured by this device, and vibration and light are emitted at regular intervals to inform the patients that it is time to change the direction of posture. And when the device is linked with the app, the caregiver is notified of the time to change the position of the body.
